Old Course Hotel St. Andrews

Tour the Expanded Old Course Hotel

Landmark St. Andrews Hotel Raises Its Own Bar

While the golfers were away, the Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews took advantage of the downtime to complete an extensive renovation and expansion of its iconic property.

It all came not moment too soon... The return of golf travel to Great Britain and Ireland and the 150th Open Championship inspired a record number of visitors to plan a golf trip to St. Andrews.

Occupying some of the most famous real estate in the game of golf, the work at the Old Course Hotel touched numerous areas throughout the resort.

Although meeting space is rarely an attraction for golf travelers, that’s not the case with the expanded Conservatory and Hall of Champions, which join the hotel’s boardroom as an excellent location to host a celebratory dinner for the last night of your trip.

The Old Course Hotel also added 31 additional guest rooms, raising its total number of rooms to 175. All of the new guest rooms showcase the spectacular panorama over the Old Course at St. Andrews.

If you’re looking to enjoy St. Andrews in style, the new Penthouse Suite is certain to fit the bill.

The main attraction to come out of this expansion, however, is the new Swilcan Loft restaurant. Located on the 4th floor of the hotel, the Swilcan Loft features a varied menu of local specialties alongside an inspired cocktail list. But like many areas at this landmark hotel, the commanding views across The Old Course at St. Andrews are certain to steal the show.

In total, the expansion of the Old Course Hotel drives home what H&B travelers have known for decades…

It’s the ultimate choice in The Home of Golf.
